Fine Art Photography

Multiplied Body

For this project I took close up images of areas of my hands and multiplied them into a kaleidoscopic effect. I did the same effect to some images of architectural structures, which I also really like.

Macroscopic Body

For this project I used a smartphone macro lens to take detailed, close up images of areas on my face and body. I then used these to make gifs and collages.

Distorted Body

For this project I distorted my face with tape and string and photographed it. I then edited them into black and white and cropped them into circles to further create an illusion. As they are circular they have no 'right' way up.

Indexical Body

For this project I covered my hand in graphite powder and scanned it into the computer. I then edited them in photoshop so that they look like impressions of skin.

Graphite Apple

For this series I rubbed graphite powder into an apple and onto a hand and photographed them. The graphite allowed me to pick up an immense amount of detail and texture.

Layered Elements

For this project I took scans of my hands and hair and took photos of liquid latex on my hand and layered them with different filters and effects to make these almost layered collages about your biometric identity.

Biometric Identity

For this project I made a collage using my silhouette and layers of writing, graph paper and images of nerves and muscles to make a collage with different levels of opacity. We then copied it onto acetate paper and enlarged it in the darkroom.

Bauhaus Photograms

For this project I made a collage using materials with different opacities to make different shades in the print. We then used the enlargers to make a print of them. I then took this further and made a photogram using my CCTV work.

Friday 13th

For this project I took my favourite hobby of baking and made this cake series.
